Much like his father, Lorenzo had a cold personality. It was odd how in only one hour, the child could already express mortal terror.
Lorenzo felt the person holding him fall to the ground. Then the sound of several hooves became louder, accompanied with the hungry cries of dragonhunters. As these huge, monsterous creatures surrounded the hatchling and his former clanmate, one of the centaurs decided to take this chance to squash the baby with his hooves. That is, until he got knocked to the side with a plaguebolt.
The skydancer shot his weak little head to the side, on full alert. His in-the-moment hero was... terrifying to someone as little as he is. It was an impressive Ridgeback, with wings as huge and intimidating as an emperor's and varying in color from royal hues to a deep, crimson color. A long striped nose marked it as a male, which swiftly pointed itself in direction of the boy. This seemed to guide the blue Pearlcatcher towards the two fallen dragons, seeing as it rushed past the swarm of centaurs to get to them.
Next Lorenzo knew, he was being picked off the ground by the shining stranger. Who was cooing words the boy could not yet understand. It wasn't long after that the raiders had gone off in hopes that the wouldn't die like their comrades had. After things died down, Lorenzo heard more unintelligible words coming from all three of the other dragons. The pearlcatcher seemed to like him alot because he was holding onto the child so tightly.
