Frostblade was content with her life in her parents clan, with her first mate and hatchling. However, one day it came to the attention of the clan that they had no more room to expand their clan. Dragons were asked to offer themselves to leave the clan and go to another. Frostblade was one of the few who offered to leave. Unfortunately her daughter was chosen to leave as well. She tried to stay with her young one but, during the relocation, they lost track of each other and so had to continue on alone to their own destinations. After some time, Frostblade came across a female skydancer with strange, dark runes decorating her scales. The skydancer introduced herself as "Schatten of Storm clan." Schatten asked Frost why she was traveling alone and seemed underfed. She told Schatten what had occurred back in her clan and Schatten offered a place within her own clan. Frostblade accepted, without knowledge that Schatten would ask for a price. |

When Schatten mentioned there was a price for her offer, Frostblade was wary. Schatten reassured her by telling her it wasn't anything drastic, just the death of her current body to add to her collection. Frostblade backed off, thinking Schatten meant to kill her. Schatten laughed and said it was just the death of her body, not her death. That didn't seem to calm Frost down at all. Schatten elaborated. "This body of yours will no longer be yours. You will still live with your memories in tact and will get a new body, but I get your current one." Frost thought the offer over again and gave in. She needed a place to stay and would rather not stay in the body that had been with her daughter. Schatten laughed and Frostblade was sucked into the shadows. An unknown amount of time later, she opened her eyes to see Schatten tending to a fire. The skydancer welcomed her back and told her the deed was done so they could continue on to the clan. Frostblade looked at herself in a piece of ice, shocked by her new appearance. "My daughter wouldn't even be able to recognize me," she whispered. Schatten nodded. "No one will." They then went to Storm clan and spoke with Iceflame, who accepted Frostblade into the clan. |
