WhiteLightning was never content with his appearance. He was constantly bullied and thrown aside due to his basic scale patterns. Only with his crackle did he exhibit some sort of uniqueness. He began studying scale changing magicks in an attempt to alter his appearance. It took a lot of studying and tries but he finally managed to find an appearance he was satisfied with. He decided to keep his crackle pattern though for it was the last remint of his past. It was his reminder that despite the struggles of life, he would always make it through. One day, though, something happened. His pearl had grown accustomed to changing appearances that it could be easily persuaded to do it again. A mysterious force whispered to the pearl, turning it on WhiteLightning and causing it to change his crackle pattern into powerful glyphs. They carried a curse, which he remains unaware of still to this day. |

WhiteLightning's curse is that he will never feel comfortable in his own scales. Due to his excessive changing of appearance during his youth, this is how the curse manifested itself in him. He has now closed himself off from the rest of the clan and his old friends. He fears that they will not want to be friends with him because of his appearance so he took the liberty of cutting them off before they cut themselves off first. The curse also tampers with his pearl's magick, no longer allowing him to change his appearance. He uses his cloak to hide the glyphs from his clan mates so they don't grow aware of them. |
