ARIDATHIA

Bonepriest Venom Cleaver
Quiet | Steady

OCCUPATION
Spicemaker

THEME
She's Playing Piano from Undertale

APPEARANCE
She is no muscled dragon, neither hulking nor strapping, but a rather intimidating figure at that. Aridathia is rather large and heavily feathered for a Skydancer, with wings made for circling, circling the Scarred Wasteland, those that bear the scars of growing up there. Looking much like a Bonepicker and acting like one too, she tends to accidentally get her claws stuck in the fabric curtains, drapes, and rugs of Animucapum. She smells unmistakably of cinnamon.

STORIES
-

Hun, if one place doesn't love you, it doesn't mean that nowhere else will.

fr__plague_by_baelfin-d8uyn7k.png Born to a pair of rather typical-looking parents, they were shocked to have given lay to such a heavily feathered dragon. Though Aridathia's size was no surprise, having direct Imperial lineage, her egg was thought to have been cursed by Beastclans - absolute rubbish if you were to ask her. Growing up, she never made an effort to assimilate into the clan with her kin, knowing that at one point or another, she'd leave - whether it be done by force or she fled of her own jurisdiction. It wasn't that she cared, either; there were many other dragons who she thought much more interesting than herself, and much more worth the clan's effort.

fr__plague_by_baelfin-d8uyn7k.png After finally finding a passion - the delicate science of carefully crafting spices and powders - Aridathia's time in her clan practicing that passion was short-lived. Her craft was not appreciated in her birth clan - this was something she knew - so, she left. It took her time enough to finally find herself in the Shadowbinder's domain, catching snippets and whispers of conversation of a safehaven for the supernatural, or those seeking refuge; a place where one could find their place. She never heard any stories of dragons leaving that municipality.

fr__plague_by_baelfin-d8uyn7k.png There was no warm reception for her entrance into the clan, alas she did not expect one. What she also did not expect was picking up piano after making a name for herself in the clan. Although Aridathia has never felt all that sentimental, the feeling of playing her piano for a crowd of laughing dragons is hard to beat, and "home" means something more to her now.

fr__plague_by_baelfin-d8uyn7k.png Aridathia's bonepriest was more or less a pest that frequented the area between her and Six's shop frequently enough for her to "adopt" it. However, wanting to avoid attachment for when it dies, she gave it a permanent placeholder name - X. That was years ago, and as it turns out, this little guy is functionally immortal.

"It's no news that Aridathia wasn't exactly thought to be much help to her birth clan, with her having been cursed, or so her home clan thought. Although she prefers not to share, there's more reason as to why she was thought to have been cursed, and why her body is so heavily covered by not only apparel, but feathers as well. When she was born, Aridathia had several odd mutations, thought to be caused by curses and the habitat she was born in. She had several extra "fingers" if you could even call them that, which enabled her to easily play the piano, a passion she has stuck to despite having the extra extremities amputated. She also had several odd mutations, such as bumps in her wings and odd stumps near her limbs. Being a Skydancer, she let her feathers cover most of the imperfections that could not be ailed away by even the harshest of medicines or practices. The rest she left apparel to do, although several of the mutations still remain. When she arrived, she only allowed Lucid and Ren, the clan medics to know. She still goes in for routine checkups, but hides the mutations as best she can. She did not leave her birth clan only because her practice was not needed, but also because her ailments were thought to have cursed the clan's future hatchlings, so she was exiled."
