Biography
Lupa is not a particularly nice dragon, though she covers it up with a friendly and kind healer persona. She's frequently out-of-Clan working as a healer, though whether this is because she has or hasn’t fooled Suzume is up for debate.
The belief about Lupa is thus: Kind and forgiving to a fault, Lupa has devoted her life to her fellow dragons in both teaching and healing. She enjoys conversation but rarely has the spare time to seek someone in particular out.
The truth about Lupa is thus: Well, all of that is wrong, down to “fellow dragons.” Lupa is a kitsune, and she grants wishes. Mostly because she can, but also because of what she gets in return-years of a dragon’s lifespan, its familiar, its mind once it dies. She does not think much of dragons themselves, healing only because it is easy for her and teaching only so she’ll have use of that dragon.

How much is or isn’t a ruse with Lupa is hard to tell. Even to her, sometimes.
