Biography

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and if you're beholding me then you know I am beautiful.

Honeyduke comes from a privileged background. He is used to getting what he wants, and getting it immediately. This continues when he finds himself at the Magical Society due to some talents he has learned he possesses. Of course, learning of these talents came as no surprise to him. It was only natural that someone like Honeyduke would be gifted with magic.

Honeyduke's abilities involve being able to summon portals and gateways for him or others to travel through. He uses this quite frequently to travel from one place to another. The trouble is that he doesn't know how to get rid of his portal afterwards. Anyone can use the portal then, and it's caused some awkward situations. He has used his gateways to travel to his bath before. It was for this reason that Honeyduke came to the Magical Society. However, Honeyduke makes for a tough student. He assumes he already knows more than his teacher, and refuses to listen. Even if it would be beneficial for him to do so.

Despite all of his airs, Honeyduke can be a pleasant individual. It's only when he's not getting his way that he turns. He would certainly make a better friend than an enemy.

Honeyduke stepped into the office full of self-assured bravado. His steps held a bit of a swagger to them, and his head was held high. An easy-going smile fell onto tinted green lips, and he gave his head a little toss to remove locks of hair from one pink eye. As was often the case, the hair immediately fell back into place, but he seemed to take no notice of it. "You called me, honey?"

There were few, very, very few, who could get away with calling the Headmistress honey. Honeyduke was not one of those few, and Josephine's face darkened some. "You took the long route this time," she stated in a dry tone. There had been plenty of instances of Honeyduke using gateways to come to the Headmistress's office. Unable to get rid of his gateways afterwards, the Magical Society had to send a team of magic users in order to send them away. It did not endear him any to the Headmistress.

Honeyduke's easy smile remained, as though he thought she was playfully bantering with him. "Sure did. It's good to stretch out the legs once in awhile. I need to somehow keep in shape." His smile widened some, and he nearly added in a wink before thinking better of it.

"Yes, well. That does not seem to be the case when you visited the library from the garden. Numerous insects have been passing through your gateway, and are sampling the books."

Honeyduke waited for her to say more. When she didn't, he gave a little scoff. "I'm sure the books can stand up to some buggies."

That seemed to be the wrong thing to say. "You do not have full control of your powers, Honeyduke. Worse, you use them irresponsibly. I am banning you from using your skills for the week. Perhaps that will teach you to use them more wisely."

His mouth dropped open in disbelief. Gone was the easy smile from before. "You can't do that!" He stomped his foot against the floor to better get his point across. "I am a grown man. You can't tell me what I can and cannot do."

"You are a student of the Magical Society," Josephine replied. "I am well within my rights to tell you what to do. If you refuse to obey, you will be dismissed from the Society." She waited for another outburst from Honeyduke, but when there was only sullen silence, she continued. "You may leave. I suggest you take the stairs again."

Honeyduke grumbled a few choice words beneath his breath, far too low for the Headmistress to hear. Where he had sauntered in before, he stalked out of the room now. Those he passed on leaving stayed clear away. They knew what his expression meant, and knew to avoid any verbal lashings he might dole out in his anger.
