Paragon's egg was found abandoned during a gathering session one day and though the clan was small and the lair was crowded, Clementine, one of the leaders of the clan, decided to take Paragon in. Since the day, Paragon has worked hard to improve the clan and prove his worth, especially to Watcher, whom he often considers an idol.

He serves under Watcher, taking out the elder Guardian's orders, doing chores happily, and devoting all his time to him. These chores include recording certain things, getting certain food, and reporting things. His clanmates say that anything said in Paragon's presence will soon reach Watcher's ears.

Paragon usually spends his time around Watcher and shows little intrest to those who do not associate themselves with the elder guardian, including his mate, Baroque. Nevertheless, he is respected and somewhat feared by the other members of the clan, and often gets his way. Speaking of his mate, it is said that he is quite fond of her, even thought they have many different views. He often tries to hide his pride in his adoptive sons, Flat and Sharp, but can't help praising them for their accomplishments. Though Watcher disowned the two, Paragon surprisingly adopted them happily, but will, however, try to erase any thought that they belonged to Watcher.

A lone egg sat in the ruins, unsheltered by nest or lair, abandoned to the harshness of the cruel world.
It swayed with the wind, tilting dangerously towards a cliff, then falling to its doom, but, out of no where, a massive claw scooped it up. A guardian several times bigger then the fragile egg he now held examined it carefully. He took it and swept towards his lair, where a small fae looked over it carefully.
"We should sell it," Growled the guardian, "We need the money."
The fae looked over the egg once more before answering.
"I'd rather keep it."
"We don't have the space."
"Then we can make more."
"We already have to many hatchlings to take care of."
"One more won't hurt us."
Just as the guardian was about to say something else when the egg started to shake, trembling until cracks started to appear, then, with a rather loud sound, a guardian hatchling broke its way into the world that had seemingly abandoned it, only to find a home once more. It looked around, its eyes blinking up at the two dragons that had discovered it, unsure what had happened.
"See," said the fae, "It likes us, why not keep it."
The elder guardian lifted the new hatchling off the ground, to this, it cooed at."
"Fine," said the elder guardian with a new found fondness, "We'll keep it."
