--Nothing is ever easy is it?

Takshah has only known violence. He was hatched in a room of hundreds others just like him. Most of them larger, more powerful. They would be all transformed to become fighters for sale. Guardians were immediately put into a program that would turn them into insurmountable gladiators. The Mirrors were trained like dogs, placed at the feet of their owners and treated like prized, lethal pets. Tundras were conditioned to withstand anything. Be it attacks, forces of nature as well as toxins both artificial and natural. Faes, like Tahshah, were take to be used as training fodder for the other dragons. They are quick enough to challenge the fighters and persistent enough to wear down the dragons meant for patience and diligence.

It only took a few rounds of being bitten and clawed to bits for Tahshah to realize that the only thing separating himself from his attackers was their build. How was this any sort of justice? How is this any way to run an empire? Of course, he thought as he learned of his talons and razor sharp teeth, there must be death and fighting. But it should never be among children, innocents or the ignorant. Of course there needs to be blood, he decides as well. But it should be done with intelligence and reason. This factory he's been born into, this assembly line of ritualistic segregation and training is barbaric at best.

Before he could fly, Takshah had fought his way into the eyes of the factory's leader. A woman, he learns, who has never been able to have children of her own so she combs the world for abandoned eggs and forgotten hatchlings in order to create the perfect collection of children. very time he heard the word "mother", a rage in him brewed hotter and hotter. No one who manipulated children is deserving of respect let alone to be treated with the intimacy and sacredness as a mother.

Every time is killed his opponent with ferocity or cruel tactics that were not permitted by the moderator, Takshah was taken to be calmed. Something that he, despite how much it soothed him temporarily, despised because it was so blatantly another layer of manipulation that Mother placed on her naughty children. Though the principal of it was abhorrent, there were times when a primal part of Takshah looked forward to it. To soft peachy skin and tender words that were so easily believed to be sincere. She had golden eyes that had no place in this dank prison. How she managed to stay so beautiful will always be beyond Takshah.

Fae never lasted as long as Takshah. At the age of 16 he was presented to "mother" as an almost godsend, the most perfect son for her. More than once the Mother has said she would love to have all Fae children but, alas, their size limited them greatly. And here Takshah stood, scarred deeply on the surface but his heart beat stronger than any other. A champion.

Despite his amazing and undeniable prowess and accomplishments, the second Mother looked into his eyes, she screamed that he be taken away. He stood before the closest thing to a god any of these dragons had ever known, the most powerful being--supposedly-- at present . And he was grinning. Where all else had bowed, he smiles, mocking her on her throne.

As she hollered and wailed, two Guardians charged him, ready to take his life for insulting Mother. Takshah laughed as he swiped their heads off of their shoulders. It was hilarious, truly, how quickly these weaklings' "mother" was brought to hysterics the moment one of her children was misbehaving.

Rumors linger that she kept screaming even after Takshah took her head.

Of course, as soon as their mother was murdered in icy cold blood, the army of children and adults alike fell to pieces. Naturally, many sought revenge. Grief and rage-stricken fighters are always reckless and sloppy. None were any sort of challenge for Takshah.

The ones who did not fight him or off themselves out of hopelessness joined him. Not as a "Father", not as a King but as a peer; as someone who has suffered the same or worse, gods there were so many who knew so much worse. Takshah left that dark arena filled with cages, chains and blood and left with his own kin. Though, there were hours devoted to looking for her. He only knew of so many places, and she was always carted away somewhere secret after she did her jobs. It is so hard t search for someone who you aren't even certain was only in your dreams. The times he remembers her are so closely knitted to the times where he fell into a peaceful sleep that he cannot be sure his own mind formed her as a means to keep sane. Despite that, though, he searched. But find her, he did not.

Sickness took his sister soon after their escape and despite those who thought him some sort of leader, they all abandoned him in the end because without his sister, there was hardly a soul left in him and therefore, hardly a leader. He happened into this clan by sheer luck. Things like destiny and fate have long since escaped Tahksha's vocabulary. His dedication to this clan is loose a best He is only here until he accepts death.
