Citrus

Citrus is a brilliant scientist, with endless ideas. However, he was cursed from birth with horrible dexterity, and relies on his young assistant Bastilio to build his devices. Much more calm than the hot-blooded Basilio, Citrus is respected among the Clan for helping manufacture prosthetics or complex casts for injured dragons. He tends to work himself to the bone, expecting 100% from himself all the time--he often needs another dragon to tell him to go to sleep after he's been working on a project for three days straight.

Good-natured and slow-moving, Citrus is like the Clan's eccentric uncle. He won't understand your drama, but he'll listen to it; he won't know why someone's so upset about a shawl being the wrong color, but he'll help them recolor it. He likes to give strange and ever-changing nicknames to his many Clanmates, and earns affection from even the coldest dragons with his little quirks.

His greatest shame is that he was unable to help his Clanmates in the fights against the Harpies. He freezes up at the sight of blood, despite his bravery; he can dive into the heart of an active volcano to revive a magical device that pumps a Clanmate's heart, but can't look at a dragon with a papercut. During the battles, Citrust reinforced the lair with booby traps and armed the Clan with adaptive armor meant to press wounds shut but allow a dragon to keep fighting.
