✷ S E R G I O ✷
 WINDWAYS LAWKEEPER & SENIOR WARRIOR Raised in an extremist Shadow cult, Sergio was groomed from a young age to fulfill the cult's role as a prophet and speaker. For much of his life, he was content to follow this role --- that is, until a dragon fell from the sky. While Sergio had stood by through many of the cult's sins, he could no longer remain idle in the face of two innocent dragons facing the cult's wrath. Aiding the warrior Palaemon in his protection of the fallen dragon, he insisted that quick judgement of the "omen" could be the downfall of their establishment, and was able to curb the immediate anger and unease of the cult. The "omen," later named Glakila, was only left unsupervised when Sergio insisted on studying and interrogating her (which was simply a cover to get her alone). Over time, Sergio grew closer with the gentle imperial and the plucky, stubborn guardian who was determined to protect her. And for the first time, Sergio gained friends who wanted nothing from him but his friendship. As tensions within the cult grew, the three dragons came up with a plot to flee; not only to protect Glakila, but to escape the stifling beliefs that had dominated Sergio's whole life. They did not leave unscathed, but did succeed in finally finding their freedom. They settled within the Windways Clan after many months of looking over their shoulders in fear, and there they formed the first ranks of Windways warriors, determined to protect themselves and their new family from whatever threats may arise. Sergio himself is a very quiet and reserved dragon. He is used to being groomed to be a stoic figure of divine power and struggles to express emotions normally. However, his neutrality has aided itself in making him very clear-headed, logical, precise, and a fair, unbiased judge. Therefore, while he serves the Windways Clan as a long-distance archer, his main job is maintaining order within the clan and settling any disputes that disrupt the peace. |

MINOR BACKSTORY DETAILS - Born and raised in a Shadow extremist cult. As a young dragon, he was taken from his parents and groomed to be a figurehead speaker and prophet for the cult. - Spent most of his childhood in isolation, being taught magic and extremist beliefs by the cult's leaders. - When the imperial later named Glakila fell from the sky and Palaemon stepped up to save her, Sergio decided to break his silence and use his influence over the general membership to save them. - He grew closer with the both of him during his "interrogations" and for the first time started to question the life he'd been brought up in. - As the leaders became more suspicious of him and tensions within the clan grew, he planned with Palaemon how to escape. - They spent several months on the run, with Sergio being the one to keep them on the move. He was certain that if they stopped the cult would capture and punish them for their desertion. - It took a lot of convincing for him to settle in the Windways Clan, but as the clan's numbers grow, he feels more and more secure. PERSONALITY - Fairly quiet and reserved. - Very thoughtful and rarely impulsive; he almost always thinks carefully being saying or doing anything. - Rational, straightforward, and unbiased. - A bit socially awkward at times; doesn't know how to express himself and struggles with personal connection. - Anxious (although he hides it very well). - Detail-orientated. PHYSICAL - Prefers to keep his face veiled. One reason is that it is a comfort for him; another reason is that he has an irrational fear that others from his past would recognize him if they saw his eyes. - A bit small for an imperial. - Mane is always very well-groomed and soft to the touch. RELATIONS - Mates with Cas. He's ridiculously in love, although he has no idea how he managed to fall for such a loud-mouthed idiot. - Vromilius is his adopted daughter. He's a bit of a helicopter-parent and is always concerned that she'll get injured or wander off. - Best friends with Glakila and Palaemon, due to their shared history. - He and Glakila are both work partners to handle the dealings within the Windways Clan, as well as gossip buddies. She's one of the few dragons he trusts to open up to. - He's known Palaemon his whole life, but due to their drastically different roles in the cult, he didn't get to know him until after Glakila showed up. He has immense respect for Palaemon and is secretly very fond of his overprotective nature. - Has a lot of respect for Azza and Hilario, and is grateful that they accepted him and his friends into their clan. OTHER - He can walk silently despite having jingly clothing. It can be a bit disconcerting for other dragons who don't know him and think he's constantly sneaking around. - Very talented in magic, particularly spells and defensive shields. However, he dislikes using it, as it reveals his Shadow Flight origins. - Practices his archery daily and rarely misses a shot. - Absolutely loves music. Since it was forbidden by the cult, he did not understand its purpose at first, but discovered it was incredibly soothing to him; it's probably one of the reasons that he fell in love with Cas. |
