Door two opens and a blast of cold air hits you in the face. A poor dragon is curled up inside without a speck of warm clothing to keep the frost at bay. Concerned for his health, you decide to take him with you and warm him up.

Shiver was found as an abandoned dragon, the only thing that had kept him from freezing to death was the Snowfall Elk nestled against him. The elk allowed Sludge to pick up Shiver and take him back to the clan, with the elk dutifully following. After being assessed by the clan's healers and being given the all clear, Shiver was given to Pumpkin to look after. Pumpkin is one the dragons who resides within the Den of the clan, meaning she does not ever venture outside the border of their safe area. Pumpkin looks after clan members who need help, as well as animals. Pumpkin finds familiars that need homes and assigns them to dragons who are looking.

Shiver has never grown larger than a hatchling, due to the absolute cold he experienced for far too long. It has permanently stunted his growth, but he is otherwise very healthy. As he is smaller and a bit delicate, Shiver does not have an active role within the clan. Shiver stays in the Den, and keeps other dragons company. Shiver regularly plays games with the Den Guards, Aurum & Argentum, in order to pass the time. Not much has ever happened to the clan, so the guards really have little else to do. Plus the ever watchful Inanna keeps a mystical watch over all incoming threats to the clan so their role is a little defunct.

Shiver has remained close with Sludge, and when Sludge returns from long missions Shiver makes sure to go and visit him. Sludge often will bring Shiver back a little knick-knack that he's found, usually a toy of some kind. Shiver is like a little brother to Sludge. Onyx and Tar, Sludge's mates, are a bit too intimidating though, so Shiver only visits when the other two aren't around. Sludge knows this (and thinks it's pretty funny), and will often come to Shiver instead.
