But don't be so easily fooled that either their gentle souls are false, or their claws are just for show. In fact Nazoc and Tessarin are most cunning in using both image and rumor to their advantage, same as a true Shadow dragon would. Sporting devilish pelts of deep red that speak volumes on just how much viscera that very well could have soaked themselves in, it's the deep yellow spikes protruding from their collars that should be the main concern after their actual claws and fangs. The devious workings of Tessarin is to thank for using her powers over Water to track down some of the sea's most dangerous slugs and other toxic creatures to gather their poisons, all for herself and her mate's cunning idea of self-defense. Using their vivid colors and bold patterns to their advantage when traveling or in combat, this pair are just as glad to let their foes run away as soon as they're recognized. Sure, a good fight will test their skills to their delight, but knowing their reputation is just dastardly enough to [i]avoid[/i] fighting altogether is equally curious to them. Respect is earned, fear is priceless. [i]Veilspuns[/i] [i]PALE BEAUTIES[/i] [img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/avatars/642898/64289705.png[/img][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/avatars/547639/54763877.png[/img] True to the Veilspun lore, this pair of truly Ancient dragons have used the Moon and the various bioluminescent flora of their swampy home to remain hidden for ages beyond counting. Using moonlight, their opaque and foggy homeland along with some plain ol' trickery in the form of diversion tactics, these two have evaded notice for nearly as along as others of their breed. With the revelation of their existence at hand, this pair Calad and Valencia, brave the modern world as best such coy beings can. Sporting bold patterns and delicate branches seldom seen on their kind, what they lack in bravery they make up for in being physically hardy. Even if their slender bodies may one think that's not true. Centuries of practice have made them nimble with both spells and quick, powerful attacks with tail and claw, making any foe leery in trying their luck further. All the same, look but don't touch. It's said that such branches on a Veilspun are how you know its mood. These ones a bright and lovely now, but should you upset them? Well, let's just say any wilting is proof you should be ashamed of yourself... and a bit more careful next you dare approach. These dragons may seem haughty or even easily startled, but only because they don't know very much about you either! They have feelings too! For other than their vivid colors, these dragons are perfectly harmless. Sure the shades of red and their shimmering accents can be startling but it's all for show. And to maybe blend into the foliage a little better than most in order to avoid danger from rivals, predators and being seen, period. Now that the Veilspun have come back to the fore, these shy dragons have been more than coy about actually interacting with their neighbors all the while being new contenders as merchants when offloading their refined jams and fresh berries to local markets. Years in the wild have taught them many of Nature's secrets, some maybe only known to Nature dragons! These two refuse to say. Arkadi and Morningstar are gentle souls, only wanting to hearten others through the literal fruits of their labors. So head over to your markets now and then, for if you see these two at their stall, offer a smile along with some treasure. Judging a dragon by their scales might be a gamble, but only one you can be more sure of through a little genuinely friendly conversation. Mainly in being tinkerers of Golem Workshop fame, with perhaps fewer creations ending up intent on causing havoc entirely of their own will. Derek, the latest in a fairly long line of miners and explorers, knows his way around crystals and gemstones. How best to utilize their stria and other properties to enhance the proficiency of energy flow and the intellectual sophistication of his mate Altressa's creations. Her designs are effectively copies of the already-extant automatons of the infamous area, giving one fair reason to believe that imitation is the best form of flattery being potentially true. Too bad those she means to impress are long gone, and everyone who is still around are a bit too leery of what she's chosen to do with her time. Yet, so long as the creations are limited in their own way, or at least short-lived in some fashion, no one really seems to mind. For now. ~~~~ Thank you!

[center][b][i]Lore!![/i][/b][/center] Ironically enough, adding lore has been difficult. Being a fairly simple person, I thought I'd not partake of this tiring, if curious pastime. However, some of the dragons in my lair have managed to gain bios anyway, and implore that I do something for their hatchlings before they leave the hatchery. Let's turn to the almighty Berach, my fully restored Progenitor and chieftain of the clan! [center][url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=8649877] [img]http://flightrising.com/rendern/350/86499/8649877_350.png[/img][/url][/center] "There's much to see in the world, be it in light or shadow. Let nothing discourage you. Not even the abyss." The eldest, founder, and unanimous leader of the clan, Berach left for reasons unknown just to return after leaving only a pittance for his fledgling clan to survive on. Such had only added an equally small bit of wiggle room for his supposed followers to work with, leading to some disdain at the Mirror for not even explaining anything before disappearing from their lives for nearly five years. It was rumored among the youth of the abandoned that something ill had become of him, leading Berach to the Shadowbinder's side but with his return, this rumor is now losing popularity with the more social dragons meant to be under his wing. At the same time, his guard barely flinch at seeing him on the wind, bowing their heads in respect for a proper leader to take command rather than deal with the rigorous demands of running a whole society by themselves. Kieran, the head of the guard, had been growing vaguely irked with having to suffer complaints all day. Then again, that's just more gossip as near as the other older guards are concerned. Of Berach's prowess and wisdom there's no debate: fierce and cunning like all Mirrors, the seasoned warrior and chieftain leads in battle no differently than in other affairs, with common sense, wit and stealth on his real intentions. Anyone or anything in his way is bound to be crushed or trounced so well, surrender stings far less than outright defeat. It's obvious he's been perhaps all over the world given what knowledge he displays of tactics and weaknesses of other species and beasts, though what he did between his fight for survival while away is still one of the bigger mysteries yet unsolved. Due to his silence or quiet, frustratingly cryptic answers, the clan has given up on getting anything but permission or denials from him on what they should do concerning trade and other clan affairs. The lack of his mate has left many with more questions, including why Berach is not sad over her loss. More rumors have arisen that it was she who went to the gods, not Berach and he simply failed to get her back. Others say she went of her own accord or by a means she couldn't return, causing their leader to give up on her entirely. Truth or rumor, whether Berach will try again for a life mate is again debatable but until then, just be glad he's around. You just might find you're in more trouble than you bargained for if he disappears... again. (Be sure to ping me for other bios just like this for your dragon someday soon!
