Astro (or Novrel, if you want to instantly get on his bad side) is a magic-enthusiastic young prince of the castle town. While he's been designated heir to the throne, he would rather prefer to be a magician than a castellan, though he enjoys being treated like royalty.
His mirror genes allow him to have a much better memory and a leaner build, and the inability to grow a winter coat. He also possesses more carnivorous teeth than a tundra. Unfortunately, his genes gave him a much weaker magic than normal. That's probably why he's so obsessed with it...

Son of Novrel and Fosca, Astro was the only child of the castellan that had accepted succeeding his father- Asyura and Azara renounced the throne early on, when they had realized they couldn’t rule together as equals, and Amortentia showed no interest in ruling.

Astro himself isn’t… Too thrilled about it, but he figures it will be many decades before his father retires, and by that time he will be ready. Besides, a normal job would only hinder his studies- As heir to the castle, his only worry is making it to history lessons in time.

The rest of the time he isn’t spending learning how to care for a castle, he spends it in his laboratory, studying the inns and outs of elemental magic in hopes to one day be able to manipulate reality itself- after all, everything is made of elements. What can a dragon able to control everything do?

He isn’t sure of the answer to that question, but he guesses he’ll cross that bridge when he gets to it. Being all powerful after all could only do good.
