Variola is from an old Plague clan deep in the heart of the Scarred Wasteland. The exact circumstances aren't known but the clan self destructed due to internal power struggles. Despite having lived a good portion of her life in the Wasteland Variola knew a lone Arcane dragon wouldn't survive for long without the protection of a clan. As luck would have it Fel, a Nature dragon Variola knew had been a bit of a wanderer in his youth offered to take her to his old clan. Agreeing despite how alien the wilds of the Viridian Labyrinth sounded, she followed him out of the Wasteland to his former home. Along the way they became good friends and then mates.
