⚔ SHALOM ⚔
Sole Leader of The Territory • Overseer of The Pale
Head of The Elite | Undertaker

"The Shifting Expanse was vast and lonely. My parents had trekked through the Windsinger's beautiful territory and the Flamecaller's ever changing land to bring me to the one place I never wanted to be. I was "unruly" and was being put to work in one of Stormcatcher's many factories. My parents have ideas for the kind of dragon I should be, but I have my own and I won't be left stranded in this prison."
THE ELITE
NUT3dY1.png
Ever since the day she was born, Shalom has been wild and untamable. Growing up in The Wasteland put a tough shell around every cell of her being. She was always told that it made her weak by not allowing others in, but she knows that the tougher she is, the stronger she will become. Her leadership has lead to one of the strongest clans this side of Sornieth and no one can take that away from her. As the sole leader of The Territory, Shalom is the monarch of the entire clan. She is also head of The Elite which is the ruling government of The Territory. The Elite creates laws and policies and acts as the judicial system as well.
THE PALE
NUT3dY1.png
Shalom also oversees a subclan, The Pale. Since Shalom is permanently blind, she wanted to create a place for dragons with disabilities and ailments. However, every dragon who wants to live in The Pale has to prove they're willing to better themselves and learn to thrive even though they aren't able-bodied. Shalom may want more for herself and her clan mates, but she learned a lot from the years with her parents and she continues to pass on the lessons to them. She wants The Territory to be better than any clan that's ever existed; she will fight anyone or anything that gets in her way.

HISTORY

Shalom remembers every second of the time she spent with her parents in the Abiding Boneyard. They were trying to show her the way of the Wasteland, how to survive in the desolate land. She hated every minute with her parents, the way they ruled her life and wanted her to amount to nothing but "not dead". Shalom rebelled. Anything she could reject, she did. Anything she could enjoy that her parents disapproved of, she did. She wanted to become something other than a pathetic creature counting her days. She knew she wanted to be something great and she wasn't going to let her parents hold her back.

They decided to bring her to the Expanse in the hopes that she would become disciplined enough to come home and want to learn their ways, but she didn't last a day before she went out on her own. The Sunbeam Ruins weren't ideal, but they were far better than her previous homes. This is where she met Menahem. Shalom came to Clan Coccinea before it was much more than a small subclan of the Fractured Cliffs. Menahem was a new ruler who was unsure of himself so he welcomed Shalom for her sure nature, her unwavering strength. She became his right hand and helped in each decision that was made for the clan.

After The Battle, Shalom made the decision to move the clan to The Wasteland. Menahem supported her choice to move, but couldn't help thinking that she had ulterior motives. They all began rebuilding Clan Coccinea; laying out the territory and raising their numbers. Everyone seemed pretty happy, but The End was coming.

Shalom was power hungry. Her ideas were often seen as Menahem’s by clan members, though he was a bit too naive to see it that way. Their relationship, one that was once full of trust, was quickly falling apart, but Menahem didn’t see it happening. After the clan moved to the Wasteland Shalom started to become more aggressive in her leadership and often went over Menahem’s head on a lot of decisions. He let it go at first because he trusted her, but soon he, and everyone else, started to see that she was getting out of hand.

Shalom recruited new members to the clan, members who were bigger, meaner, and more aggressive than those who ventured over from the Labyrinth. Tensions in the clan rose and Menahem was being pressured to rid Coccinea of her, but she was his best friend and he couldn’t throw her out like that. She beat him to it though. Clan Vulturus was ready to rise.

THE END OF THE BEGINNING

Shalom came to power after years of feeling overshadowed by Menahem. Slowly her anger built and the want for true power became too great. Furiosa and Hazel allied with Shalom early on.
