11812.png 		Charybdis, named after the leviathan who swallows the sea itself, hails from the Lightning clan known as the Voltspire Clan. Born to the clan's leader, Starshock, she and the son of Kirial, Koto, are the embodiment of the alliance between the Voltspire Clan and the Lunar Abyss. The banner she wears upon her wings bears the symbols of both clans.
Splash. The crate containing the tiny Guardian began to quickly fill with water. The hatchling feebly began kicking and clawing at the wooden walls, trying desperately to escape. Soon enough, she was completely submerged. As she sank into the abyss, the crate fell apart around her, but it was too late. She would drown.
Suddenly, a blue Nocturne appeared out of the darkness and surrounded her with his wings. He conjured a wisp of magic in his talons and touched it to her throat. The Guardian gasped as water filled her lungs—but she could breathe! The Nocturne, still holding her within his wings, escorted her to the ruins that were his clan's home.
The hatchling shook herself off, still not being used to the water, as they entered a cave filled with sweet, sweet air.
"Greetings, little one," Called a deep female voice. The hatchling turned to see a big blue Guardian--just like herself--perched within the jaws of a massive skull that was lodged high in the wall. "I am Kirial," the other Guardian said.
"Everyone," Kirial announced, "Welcome Charybdis, the heiress of the Voltspire Clan: our new allies!"
Charybdis. The name rung within the hatchling's head.
The dragons gathered below cheered, and many reared onto their hind legs. The Nocturne that had brought her here, Lamia was his name, lightly slapped her on the back. "Welcome home!"
