Briar

For some, the idea of basket weaving might sound boring, or even torturous. The monotone motions, the sore digits after hours of twitching and twisting, and hours of work for but a small container by the end of it.

But that doesn't bother Briar in the slightest. In fact, it is something she has found a love for. As a hatchling, she used to be a bit restless, her limbs always searching for something to do, feet tapping and tail swishing. After she joined Clan Gale Rain as their first Bogsneak (something she is still very proud of, in fact), she wanted to help them out and pull her own weight, so she did a couple of different jobs here and there to keep afloat. And then one day she decided to try weaving, and thus her lifelong passion was born.

It took Briar a while to get good at it, but these days she has perfected the craft. She loves nothing more than to sit back at home and work on her baskets, losing herself in her thoughts. The monotone of the work doesn't bore her, but rather helps to calm her mind, and it is something she finds relaxing. When she's weaving, time seems to pass in the blink of an eye, and before she knows it, it's evening and she's left with a bunch of new baskets to add to the Clan's collection, or sell on and make a bit of coin. And now that her body has found an outlet for her energy, she is no longer restless, but is in fact very still and composed most of the time.

Don't let her composed manner fool you into thinking she's meek or quiet, however. If undisturbed during her work, then yes, she will usually be content to be left to her thoughts. But when talking with others, she's outspoken about her opinions, and isn't shy to let others know if she disagrees with them. On top of that, she has a sharp tongue, and will let her sarcastic sense of humour shine through in her interactions with others. However, she hardly has ill-intentions either, and most find her an amusing presence to be around.
