Cedrela

Cedrela: variation of Cedrella, meaning love.

Cedrela was born to the proud parents of Moon and Zyrephon. She was the egg that hatched with the most difficulty, and Zyrephon, relieved that she made it, broke down in tears and cradled her, calling her "love" for the rest of her birth day. The name stuck, and Cedrela simply became her formal name, with the same meaning of love. However, Cedrela did not escape her difficult hatching unharmed. Her frontal lobe was slightly damaged. The effects, which were subtle to begin with, escaped everyone's attention for a short amount of time. However, eventually dragons began to talk about how Cedrela didn't seem to be able to show emotion like her siblings; she treated everything and everyone coolly and neutrally. This became more apparent when she was of breeding age, when suitors got turned down one by one because Cedrela failed to have feelings for them. Amidst the rise of gossip and slander, Theta approached Cedrela and invited her to join her as one of her advisers. When she was faced with a wall of protest because of her decision, Theta replied with, "She may seem a bit different, but I believe she is genuinely good at heart, and that is what I look for the most. If she can't feel emotions, we will help guide her through the path of this important role and teach her what others feel, so she can empathize with the people of this clan. I believe that she can fulfill this role."

Cedrela gradually improved over the next few months under Theta's guidance, and her position is now undisputed. She is the happiest she has been.
