- Biography


Near lost his sight - and most other things - as a young child, when his homeclan was raided.
Whether others survived, he did not know. There was only screaming, pain, and then a horrific silence.

Help never came, and so he crawled for what had to have been days, until he heard voices in the distance. And then, finally, his cries for help were heard.

In this new clan, he was able to heal and begin life anew. His injured limbs were protected and aided by metal splints. He learned to navigate via sound, and by feeling for changes in the eternal ebb and flow of magical energy.

He lived among them for the rest of his childhood, working in whatever ways he could to repay them, but when he finally came of age, he bid the clan farewell and struck out on his own.

He had always wished to travel the world, and it was not a dream he was willing to give up.
