Petarasite is a cheerful and boisterous Snapper, full of vibrant passion for her work. She can usually be found working away at a clump of stone, chatting in between the clinking of her tools on the hard rock, or humming slightly off-key in her pleasantly deep voice.

Born into a travelling clan, she was raised in a castle atop a giant snail named Snastle, who fostered her passion for working with stone. Snastle maintains her shell with a calciferous slime which hardens into incredibly strong stone, and to create the rooms,spires and balconies of the castle, she required the help of dragons. As a child, Petarasite volunteered for the task with enthusiasm that hasn't waned with age, and she has practised the trade since.

Atop Snastle, she used the calciferous slime to form rock into whatever shape she pleased, and used acid to dissolve and form the hard calcium rich stone. After moving to find a new clan to ply her trade, she had to learn more traditional stoneworking methods, but her experience served her well and she took to the work easily. She still has a great relationship with the travelling snail and is able to secretly request slime for special projects. It adds a special touch to her work and allows her to accomplish projects that leave neighbouring masons perplexed and impressed.
Even Petarasite herself has lost track of how much of her Gembond is natural and how much is merely hardened slime.
