Niarra was unsurprisingly created by the Wikia clan's resident alchemist. In his attempt to replicate Baldwin's new Mutagen, he instead created a new living being. Emerging from the remains of her tough shell, it was immediately obvious that she was unlike any other creature that the clan had ever seen. She constantly oozes a highly poisonous mucous substances from her entire body causing her to always look wet and dewy. Her body markings shift and flare, much like her fins, based on her mood.

As soon as she freed herself from her egg, Niarra escaped into the Mire. She has made her home there skulking through the underbrush and napping in the marshy waters. She has to be on the lookout constantly to evade Phorcys as he continues to search for her. Despite not being very intelligent, Niarra is surprisingly crafty. She has created a number of traps throughout the mire to catch both prey and to slow pesky dragons.

Ignoring Phorcys, Niarra's greatest nuisance is Salix. The Mire guide is always tromping through her territory and disabling her traps! If she has one goal in life it is to catch him and make him pay for his pesky ways.
