Scholar of Disease

Vivaldi hails from the Sundial Terrace, but he spent a lot of time on a sabbatical doing research throughout the Scarred Wasteland. He studies supernatural types of diseases and how they manage to worm their way through a dragon's body, and how they're different from normal diseases. Interestingly, he found that many diseases are ones that don't really cause harm to dragons in the traditional sense, as some of them can be utilized for a dragon's own benefit. Thus, some diseases, he's found, are only a disease if the mind of the dragon with a sickness likens their ailment to a disease. Often, these diseases are the fabled ones that have no known cure, and in a sense, the the only "cure" truly is coming to terms with the disease and all of the curses and blessings it brings. As a result, while Vilvaldi knows how to cure ailments, magical and traditional, some of his methods are a little...skewed.

After years of traveling the Scarred Wastelands, Vilvaldi returned to the Sundial Terrace and searched for a place to record and further investigate his findings. A dear friend of his who he knew back when studying the Scarred Wasteland, Plexippus, ran into him and suggested he move into the Oozegrotto, a phrase that bewildered Vilvaldi. His bewilderment only increased when he visited Plexippus' strange new lair that was, as the name suggested, swathed in goop. Despite how bizarre getting used to the place was, Vivaldi was in no place to judge as he studies diseases for a living, so he's made himself quite at home.
