Hibiscus is unflinching in his role as clan treasurer; others often joke that he should have been born a guardian with how dedicated he is to caring for the vault. He seldom sleeps anywhere except beside the treasure and gems, keeping a careful eye out for young Ridgebacks who might not yet know better than to steal from his stash. His role as treasurer also involves keeping track of the treasure's flow in and out of the clan, as well as keeping an updated list of the dragons who are a part of the clan, including the date they joined and any specific requirements.

Despite his steadfast dedication to his work, Hibiscus remains a kind, if slightly stern stern, dragon, and has a particularly soft spot for his mate Castilleja. He's incredibly stubborn, once he's made a reasoned decision there's no turning him; but with as careful as he is to think things through, most trust his judgement anyway. He is skilled with numbers, and despite not being much of a fighter, strikes enough of an impressive form to not be messed with.
