B I O G R A P H Y

______ Ormissuth was one of the many dragons who were captured by the Sacred Empire while still in the shell. Most of these hatchlings are indoctrinated into the empire to become soldiers, and Ormissuth was set on the track to become one of those hatchlings. The problem, however, was that they were completely unresponsive for the first week they were alive. It's extremely unusual and generally a sign of bad health for a hatchling to be unable to talk the moment it's hatched, so Ormissuth was assumed to have some horrible kind of brain damage and was kicked out of the program.
______ For a while, Ormissuth was shuffled around between prison programs, but none of them wanted or needed a dragon that would barely respond to you. Eventually, they ended up in the fighting pits. Their first day there, and the seventh day of their life, they fully woke up. The dragons in charge of the fighting pits were shocked, since they'd been complaining all night about getting a dragon that surely wouldn't be an entertaining fighter, but by then it was too late for them to have any kind of future in the Empire.
______ When Ormissuth woke up, they woke up all at once. They stretched, cleaned their scales, and went straight to an old grumpy wildclaw that everyone seemed to avoid. They convinced the wildclaw, Anciel, to teach them how to survive the pit fights. Though Anciel was sure that the tiny spiral would die within their first fight, Ormissuth won the fight almost effortlessly and returned to demand more lessons.

B I O G R A P H Y

______ Ormissuth never spoke about why they were unresponsive their first week, but they seemed to be constantly trying to make up for the lost time. Unfortunately for them, their life consisted of waiting in a room for days on end until they were chosen for a fight. They threw themselves into training with Anciel, learning with surprising speed. At the same time, they began to have dreams of the future. Often, these dreams would feature an owl with golden talons. Sometimes the owl would say things to them, and sometimes he would just watch. Ormissuth assumed that this was normal for every dragon, and only found out otherwise when they mentioned to Anciel that they already knew the day's lesson, so they should just move onto the next.
______ While Ormissuth's future sight remained the strictest secret, the training sessions couldn't be hidden. The other dragons in the prison block saw Ormissuth and Anciel's training and despaired. Each of them knew that one day they might have to fight either Ormissuth or the old wildclaw and that they were only getting stronger while the other prisoners got weaker. A few of the prisoners, led by a coatl named Aza, decided that the best thing to do was to put a stop to the training sessions.
______ Aza and the other prisoners planned in secret, and one night ambushed Ormissuth and Anciel while they slept. However, the owl with the golden talons had warned her about what was going to happen, so they and Anciel were prepared. Aza's prisoners were defeated, but Aza herself refused to give in. They fought until Ormissuth, seeing that Aza would die, threw herself between them. Anciel was unable to stop her attack and Ormissuth was badly hurt. Still, she picked herself up and told Aza that if she wanted to be taught how to fight, all she had to do was ask.
______ Eventually, Aza and Senna became a part of Anciel's prisoner group. Together, they were eventually able to escape. Ormissuth was finally able to experience the outside world and it... overwhelmed her. In her old life, she had only had to deal with the prisoners and the fights. In the outside world, there were so many different factors that the deluge of futures and possibilities overwhelmed her. She began to take medicine from dreamless sleep that dulled her future visions, and found that she was then able to live her life somewhat normally. However, she was so used to knowing the future that without it she began to act with complete disregard for what would happen. She struggles to find a balance, as The Golden Talons rely on her foresight to keep themselves safe.
