 Being the daughter of two scribes, is it any wonder that little Lokta became interested in the art herself? From an early age she was taught the wonders of books, and the smell of ink has always been like perfume to her. While most children would shred a book or even doodle inside the covers of any book they found, Lokta always carefully handled them, delicately turning the pages, and feeling the surfaces with gentle fingertips.

Although her fingertips were normally a light green in colour, they eventually began to turn a darker shade from rubbing them across her beloved books. Once she learned to create her own books as well as write in them, soon her entire hands became a permanent shade of black from the mixing of various inks she made for use in her writing. While other girls may have been discouraged or disgusted by this, Lokta did not care... she loved her books more than she enjoyd the company of some people.

There are a few folks she does enjoy being with, and is content with being around them. However, if she had a choice between spending a day outside or sitting working with her books... she'd happily sit & read... or write... or do both at once.

She is also very prone to reading as she walks, earning many bumps & bruises from tumbling down stairs or simply bashing into the wall... or other folks. Due to this, her clan members assigned her a sort of bodyguard to help steer her away from any dangerous terrain she may blindly walk into. Eldorn also assists in other ways, by making sure she eats properly (she gets so distracted when researching), and by simply providing some company when she feels the need to chat with a friend. He is not only her bodyguard, but also her best friend.
