Valkyrie - House Bittergulf

Nainsi was born of a long line of female warriors. She trained with her mother every day from a week after her hatching until the day she flew off to join Clan Saibhreas. Along the way, she stopped at many a river to slip into cool waters and relax. Because of her extensive battle training, her powerful muscles often produced so much heat that she needed to cool them off - or she'd wake the next morning with stiff, aching limbs. She was more than capable of handling herself at her best, but if she weakened during her long and hard journey, she'd likely be attacked by any number of beasts. Travel was peaceful, for the most part. Every few days, she would become ravenously hungry. Using her well-honed sense of smell, she would track down large prey, enthusiastically tearing into its flesh. After one successful, yet fateful hunt, she gorged herself until she fell asleep, her hunger sated. She hadn't soaked her muscles for a while, and when she woke up she was stiff as a board. Knowing that her condition put her in danger, she swiftly took to the skies, far away from any beast that could hurt her. Or so she thought. Within minutes, she was attacked by a huge swarm of Mirror dragons, bent on subduing their massive prey. Her wings were assaulted, her limbs gouged. She feared this was her end. As her eyes slid shut and she began to lose altitude, she spotted a pale blue blur from her right. A male Coatl, shining like sunlight off a raincloud, hissed and spat and tore into the pack of Mirrors. Emboldened by her sudden luck, Nainsi mustered her warrior strength and tossed off her attackers. Together, Nainsi and her savior fled. The Coatl introduced himself as Zinnaerris, a member of the very clan she sought. He led her to their healer, chattering along the way. For such an imposing dragon, Zinnaerris had a warm heart and excellent conversational skills. They grew closer and closer, until finally they admitted their feelings for one another. The scars from the Mirror attack slowly healed, and in their place grew glowing golden Rune-shaped scars. Over her long years as Valkyrie of House Bittergulf, named after the craggy cove she grew up in, she noticed them little. Her mate has always had matching marks, right? It's what brought them together. Recently, she's been waking up in the middle of the forest to the west of Saibhreas headquarters with no memory of how she got there. She's worried she's getting a little senile, but Zinnaerris assures her that dragons occasionally sleepwalk, and really, she deals with so much violence on a daily basis, how could she not expect her body to act out? He suggested telling Ombrenotturne, as he might know how to help her curb these incidents -- or perhaps Healer Vanilla or Vikenti the Scholar could find some cure? Perhaps he's right. But she still doesn't feel comfortable bringing it up to the High Counsellor or his lover, the terribly nosy and suspicious Chief Magistrate. For now, she'll keep it from Zinn and the others.
