Tick-tock, tick-tock... Everything measured, in order. The rhythm of time. Tighten the spring, and turn the key. Every click and tick, a moment going by the same as the last. Measured. In order. Predictable. Life.

Porcelain is fragile, but smooth and lovely. Segmented, ball-jointed, her exoskeleton is porcelain. Delicate. Orderly. Perfect. Smooth.

Her eyes are made of glass, to shine round, and innocent. Captivate. The beautiful doll.

The dancing doll made of porcelain. The graceful, clockwork performer, dancing for those who visit. She is cute. She is lovely. She does as she is told to by her master, and by his masters, because that is the way of things. She does not mind. She does not feel. Everything is as it is. It is the way of things, with canvas wings, a clockwork heart, glass eyes, and cold, hard, porcelain skin. Dance gracefully. Draw an audience. Protect master, taking his place on display. She does not mind. It is how things are.

She was refurbished by her master. She knows this because she remembers, vaguely, having been abandoned. She remembers being activated again, and meeting her master. He says he loves her, and that she is to love him. So she does, unfeeling. She is devoted.

And yet...there is a mystery. A distant memory. Something so curious... What is it? Could it be...that once, she...felt...?

Perhaps some of the best compliments I've ever seen about Ophelia's lore.

What a gal! I love the mystery hidden beneath that porcelain and clockwork. Hopefully, one day, she'll be able to feel again, or if not, she can remember her past! That would be cool!
