Valkyrie - House Eversun

Dumah was born fighting. She clawed her way out of her egg at dawn, squinting against the glowing plains of the Mirrorlight Promenade. The youngest of four hatchlings, she spent the first few weeks of her life play-fighting with her fiercely affectionate mother and trying to catch the eye of her distant father. She and her siblings loved to flit through the gentle sunbeams, basking in the golden eye of the sun. Unfortunately, one day she strayed too far from her family and became hopelessly lost in the Tangled Woods. Within seconds of realizing her plight, she was cornered by a bloodred Serthis. She knew, as her mother had told her, that a Serthis was one thing she couldn't fight on her own. The Serthis, cast out from his family, did not attack her, and when she ran away, followed. Thinking he was chasing her, she ran for almost a fortnight before collapsing exhausted. Their bond was cemented when the Serthis curled around her trembling form and fell asleep alongside her. Dumah and her Serthis happened upon the inhabitants of Clan Saibhreas before her first breeding cycle had ended. Soon, a slightly older dragon named Vikenti caught her eye as he passed through, and when he decided to stay, she began to talk with him. He turned out to be just as fierce and strong as her--a warrior at heart. They got on like houses on fire. Inevitably, they became great friends, and the clan elders prayed to all the deities that they would find love with each other. They did, and have produced many strong children. All destined to be great leaders, thanks to their father. Despite his efforts, however, they all seem to take much more strongly after their mother, who prizes independence above all others. Many mates in Clan Saibhreas do not see their children again once they leave, but it seems to affect Vikenti more than most. It is a point of contention between the two of them, as Dumah doesn't see the merit in missing their children so long as she knows they are safe, happy, and finding their destiny. As Saibhreas has grown over the years, Dumah and her warrior friends Flail and Nainsi began training acolytes to send to the Stormcatcher. She and her Consort now lead House Eversun and strive to maintain peace in the Shifting Expanse. Please return to @tanujagtap #54495! |
