Shijian is an eccentric, slightly strange dragon who tends to keep to himself. He is often found locked in his lair, a place where no other dragon is allowed to go. While looked down upon by most of his clan mates as weird, whenever something interesting happens, Shijian is always in the center of it, calmly taking control and handling the situation with his sharp mind and disturbingly intimate knowledge of both past and future events. Nadean and Alethia are the only dragons who really seem to understand Shijian, and are also the only dragons to have been inside his lair.

H I S T O R Y
Shijian joined the clan claiming to be a historian and a clockmaker, however when strange things began to happen, many dragons began to believe that he was much, much more. Shijian never talks about his past, and never worries about is future, the dragons that know the most about him keep their lips tightly sealed.

Every dragon makes mistakes. Every dragon has regrets. However, there is one mistake that Shijian will never forgive himself for. It was the height of the the wildclaw/mirror civil war. Lives had been lost on both sides, the canyon was in uproar. Shijian approached a young Lilith who, distraught at the recent death of her lover, Chayde, agreed to help Shijian in an experiment he believed could change everything. Not much is known about the exact ritual that took place, but it involved a combination of Shijian's technological prowess and Lilith's immense magical abilities. The result? A complete reality shift. Sorneith disappeared, and the dragons of Voidhunter's Canyon found themselves in a completely new pocket dimension, their dragon forms gone and no memory of who they were. This new reality was wrong. New memories supplanted the ones the dragons had lost, and the Voidhunter's built new lives unaware of the past. Sure, there was no war, and those who had died had been given new bodies, but this reality was unstable, and cracks were beginning to show. Fortunately, Shijian had built in a fail safe; three dragons who would regain their memories should the ritual go wrong. Devorar, Silent and Lisse figured out something was wrong almost immediately. They worked together to bring back the memories of Shijian, Nadean and Alethia, and figured out that their world was on the verge of collapsing in on itself. Shijian gathered together all the Voidhunter's and with the help of his friends, explained the situation. If they stayed there, they would be trapped in the crumbling world. But he and the rest of the Wanderer's guild could get the dragons back home. However, those who had died and were given new bodies could not return. Many dragons agreed to return to Sorneith, but the rest decided to stay with their loved ones in the false reality. Over half of the Voidhunters were lost to the civil war and Sijian's failed ritual, and that is something he can never let himself forget.
