Hailing from the Blacksand Annex, Terne is a talented blacksmith. She was trained nearly from birth, learning the pain of a burn before the feeling of gritty sand against a scraped knee. However, this was against her will as she was sold into a labor camp where she learned all her skills. One day she was very badly burned resulting in a mass of tough scar tissue along her belly and arms. This slowed down her production and she was thus cast from the camp to fend for herself.

Terne had heard of the healing properties of Nature magic and wished to gain a wider range of motion and to perhaps ease the lasting pain. She made her way to the Wikia clan where she did in fact meet healer Juniper who has helped her to regain some of her past vigor. She now acts as the blacksmith for the Wikia clan, falling back on her only skills.

Terne tends to be a loner due to the fact that she can't quite work up the ability to trust others. She is very friendly but anyone who pays attention can see it is only polite facade. Surprising herself, Terne approached Arkose first intending to maybe trade with her for a new apron. What she got instead was the calming presence of someone who understood her and could sympathize, albeit not having shared exactly the same past. Together she feels that they may be able to finally heal their emotional scars and move forward as better versions of themselves.
