Biography
Jyoti, meaning 'light'.
Consort, none.
Jyoti is one of the three children that changed her father from a stereotypical snob to a caring father. While her father is still a snob, Ganesha has toned it down considerably since meeting her mother, a snapper named Yoeti from another clan, and hatching a nest with her.
Jyoti is much like her name, taking to basking in sunlight and having an all around cheerful attitude. She also, much like her father, loves to explore and discover the truth to things, and she will often join him when he goes out to gather materials for experiments with the fae brothers, Arwinamu and Makimaru.
Aside from just being a generally friendly, happy dragon to be near, Jyoti is well loved and respected for having found the antidote and vaccine to a poison from the coral snake. The coral snake had previously been the cause of death of many young hatchlings and smaller dragons living in the Viridian Labyrinth, and the making of a antidote had eluded other chemist dragons. Jyoti decided to study the snake itself rather than simply its venom and discovered the species only made part of the toxin themselves; they were ingesting the purple leaves of the corpsemaker ivy plant, with the snake's stomach adding an extra compound to enhance the toxin further. After this discovery, Jyoti took the antidote to the ivy and remade it to account for the snake's own toxic addition, and after perfecting it, distubuted the formula to make it all over the Labyrinth. She takes pride (and as a pearlcatcher her pride is a bit extreme) and joy in how many lives the antidote has saved.
