Natta originally started out as a simple Ice Tundra with big dreams of becoming a great witch. Her real name isn’t Natta but she insists no one speak of it as it is one of the few things that pain her. When she was old enough she left her family’s home in the Cloudscrape and set out to find her way. This initially led her to the Caravan back when it was still rather small and didn’t occupy its current home above the Great Furnace. There she met a powerful wizard named Dilarus and begged to become his apprentice. He gladly agreed and started to train Natta in the ways of magic.

One day, during a standard ritual to call upon some Lightning Lancers to aid the clan Dilarus reached a bit too far beyond what he was capable of. He ended up pulling through an elemental. A creature of terrible strength and destruction. There was no vessel or ritual in place to bind the elemental when it came through. In a panic Dilarus acted quickly to seal the elemental before it became angry. The only host available to contain the elemental was his apprentice. Thus Natta was born.

The power of the elemental changed Dilarus’ apprentice. She became the dragon-creature known as Natta who resembles a coatl with a gleaming coat. The marks on her skin are residual sealing marks made by Dilarus sealing the elemental within the former tundra.

That is the past. Natta is the present and future. She does not begrudge Dilarus what he did and tells him that his apprentice did not suffer when he sealed the elemental within the dragon. As a being of raw, elemental, energy, Natta is vastly more powerful than just about any dragon in the Caravan, magically though is limited to a single element, unlike other dragons who can learn to use others through hard work.

Natta is her own self, interested in science and maths and spends long hours in the Caravan library reading all that is known. She refuses to ever visit the Expanse, saying she’s afraid of what she would do or become should she enter an area so magically charged with Lightning. She can fluently speak draconic, which is good, though Dilarus doesn’t always find it great when she starts flirting with him in front of others. Though that took a while to happen and at first Natta resented Dilarus for sealing her within this flesh prison.

She’s since grown to accept her fate as a dragon and even embrace it. Upon her ‘birth’ Natta sort of imprinted upon Dilarus once the lightning storm had cleared. But more in the way a baby duck imprints upon their mother. This grew over time to genuine affection though she is always talking the Wildclaw into making a nest together and he’s never once said no.
