Oddly intimidating for a Coatl, Rianca's gaze is analytical and unwelcoming. Formerly a scout for a small nature clan known as the Clan of Falling Leaves, she liked the clan well enough, but sometimes she and their matriarch clashed over her methods. Rianca and her matriarch were generally on good terms, but the matriarch's adopted Coatl daughter, Garjia, seemed to sense something was off about her. Other Coatls usually did. Even though she'd found a rival in Garjia, she was happy to have found a home in the Clan of Falling Leaves for the first time. She grew especially close to the Wildclaw Alder. Her love for him wasn't always the healthiest, she struggled with feelings of jealousy especially since he had had multiple mates before they met. With time and hatchlings they settled into a surprisingly sweet and dependable relationship. During one of her night patrols, a strange warm feeling began to creep into her. From deep in the forest of her mind a strange rhythm beckoned to her. Intrigued, but disturbed, she rushed home. She wasn't welcomed upon her return. Some sort of malady had taken a large number of her clanmates and plunged them into a deep sleep. Alder and their daughter Syldera were safe. Rianca felt nothing but relief. Strangely, she couldn't muster any sadness for the rest of the clan. Her and the rest of the survivors set out. Some of them were determined to find a cure, but Rianca danced to The Root's song. Inevitably, she led them all to the Arbor Coven. Now she serves as the Violet Witch. Her magic awakened, she's taken her old rival's mantle as an alchemist. She's been entrusted with knowledge and rituals not for the weak of heart. |
