The Bright Brigade is a mighty group of warriors - each of them originating from Light, with colors of fire and sun, with grand wings and swords and shields and armor of gold and silver. They patrol the skies, fighting off the darkness that threatens every clan and every dragon. The Bright Brigade is led by the young, brave Orpheus and he looks desperately for others to join him in protecting the dragons of the world....
Orpheus is a brave, kind young dragon who is already well known for his warmth, his generosity and his skill in combat. He may not be the biggest imperial around, but his wingspan is impressive, and often described as quite the sight to see when he makes any entrance via flight.
He strides to make ends meet, create alliances with other clans, recruit new members into the Bright Brigade, and eventually wipe out all influences of the Shade. He works hard at this, he believes in what he does, but at the same time he despises it. He hates violence, he always looks for an alternative way of defeating his enemies. He does not wish harm to anyone, no matter what they may have done.
Being the leader of a prestigious, highly respected order of warriors is an exceedingly dangerous task, and some don't think Orpheus is quite what the Brigade need to survive. Some think another is a better leader, others believe the young dragon just needs the right guidance, that he needs to step up and stop worrying about being a pacifist.
He believes everyone has their opinions and that he needs to do what is best for the dragons they protect.
Orpheus's greatest fear is disappointing his family and letting the Bright Brigade down. And, also, having Malachai talk to him. He always gets so flustered around the beautiful skydancer, he's never sure of what to say around him...

· Has a heavy limp on the right hind leg from an old injury.
· Wears significantly less armor than most in order to put less stress on his handicapped leg.
· Has fallen head over heels for a certain blue boy in the clan, he's just too awkward to go talk to him...
