She will fall.
One day, she will fall under my talons.
I will wait till the end of time for that day.
There was a horrific silence filling the halls. Not a single dragon dared to make a sound, or move from their resting places, all wide awake no matter how hard sleep tried to pull them down. It was impossible to sleep, not with the pressure of the silence still abundant.
They all waited, and waited, for something to happen to constitute the silence, and as soon as it seemed it would never come - the hatchet in the main area was slowly creaked open, and the sound of something crawling out from the passage under the hatchet echoed down every weaved bed and tunnel system created by the clan.
It made no other sound than the faint tapping of it's claws on the occasional paved path and the sound of it's wings brushing against the walls and doors of the halls. Every dragon in the area stared forward to where the thing could enter from, just waiting to see something barreling toward them from the hall. Only a small few could actually fight off a dragon, and the chances it would attack them over anyone else in the lair was slime to none.
Occasionally a passage way's entrance was slid open, and the tapping of claws was then accompanied by items being tossed to the ground and the sounds of glass being shattered from the rummaging. Every foraging would end in the same silence that started it, and the tapping down the halls would continue once again...
