Bloodied pelts, slimy scales, skins with bits of flesh still attached - it's a good thing Xavier has an iron stomach, as his work can get rather messy. Dragons fresh from a hunt or the coliseum often bring their organic loot to his tailor shop where it is summarily skinned and tanned in the blink of an eye. Xavier finds great pleasure in outfitting the Manor's inhabitants in the latest Sornieth fashions - one mustn't be caught looking less than one's best if it can be avoided. As long as he is their tailor, the clan has no need to worry about advertising - money talks, but style doesn't have to.

Xavier might have an unsmiling, perpetually grumpy face, but that easily melts away into a look of awkward confusion whenever he encounters a novel situation. Xavier isn't very adept at socialising or small talk, and he covers his discomfort with blank expressions and scowling. His few struggles at friendly smiles have had hatchlings cowering in terror and the clan either laughing hysterically or fainting in shock, so he flat-out refuses to make any further attempts. When he is immersed in his work, however, Xavier's nerves vanish completely - he's actually a decent conversationalist when distracted by a new project.

Xavier hates it when dragons mistake him for a Fire native - it's not his fault if the rest of the world has no idea what he means when he talks about the autumn palette or jewel tones. No disrespect against Flamecaller's children, of course, but Xavier has enough admiration for the Earthshaker that it could be called hero-worship without hyperbole. In his attempts to seem more Earth-esque, Xavier started printing embarrassing slogans on his clothing lines, such as 'radical' and 'gnarly'. It took an embarrassingly long time for the clan to realise that no, it wasn't some new trend - Xavier just has problems.

For someone as materialistic as Xavier proudly is, Domino is a breath of fresh air (not literally - she likes fish guts too much). Xavier needs a bit of perspective sometimes, and he appreciates how completely outlandish her view of the world is. The rest of the clan recognises him as the precious commodity that he is - where would their fashionable attire come from if not their trusty tailor? Xavier is also a bit of an alcoholic, and spends an inordinate amount of time in Sinclair's bar with Gabriel, complaining good-naturedly about everything under the sun.
