Thymara

Fire dragons. They are hardworking, temperamental, and prone to singing. Before knowing one, it is always a good idea to walk on tiptoes around them.

Thymara and Songbird are no different. The twins burst out of their eggs like tiny combustions practically in the same moment, and they ran their parents ragged from that moment on. A cute pair, they developed their own sort of twin speak with one another, and their own pass-time: Trying to imitate the flames around them.

Thymara has always been a very hands-on dragon, and through his youth dabbled in many of the past times of varying family members and clan mates. His favorite was smithing and dueling. He is a wiry fellow, built for quick moves and endurance: More of a martial artist than a swordsman, and he takes great delight in donning many hats for his clan as something of a soldier-investigater. He is passionate about work, a flame fueled by both success and defeat alike. In succeeding, he is excited and exuberant--almost giddy. In failure, he is moody and likely to snap the head off of anyone who tries to rub it in, but furiously focused in these times: A good student who will lap up the lessons his betters have to offer.


Songbird is more of a mimic than her brother. She works undercover more than she works on the front lines of battle, able to phase in and out of roles as quickly as necessary. Usually, for now, she sticks about with the newcomers who wander into the clan territory. She becomes one of them, figures out who they are, and gives the green light or the red light as to whether or not they are safe to trust among clan members. She has a bubbly, happy personality and seems genuinely interested in the happenings around her. She is also a fighter: Having trained with her brother, she is swift and light-footed, and while he prefers the larger weapons, her enemy swiftly learns that she is skilled in the art using of smaller, sharper objects.

And they dance. Like coatls sing. They dance. Like flames they have always so loved to imitate. They dance around one another both in training (and pestering) with fights and for the enjoyment of an occasion. Wherever they are, the flames live inside of them, and they bring them to life with the way they move about one another.
