Scorned by the Flamecaller: The priest has read the bones and sees great hatred from their deity. They have cast this child aside. They will struggle to conjure even the slightest bit of magic, and will find it almost impossible to live out a happy life.

Bio
It's always been said that Coatls naturally born with dull coats are bad omens, and Artemi is certainly no exception to that rule. The moment he came out of his shell, he was tossed out by his parents and left there, without any sort of explanation or reason. It was looking very bleak for him; his stomach became used to the plants he put into his system to an extent, and he survived solely through his own attempted efforts. It wasn't until he was free of the territory that he got picked up by a troupe of circus performers and taken in out of pity.

Though he performed well for quite some time, it wasn't enough to keep him performing for the circus for long before they abandoned him as well. Artemi was sick of feeling like he shouldn't exist, of the aches and pains that his body had within him, and in his desperation, he sought out the magic of immortality. It was a spell he brought with him, sacrificing the lives of the troupe to fuel his need for life eternal, and in the process it granted his body vividness that his younger self could only dream of. Bright, fiery orange signified his lifeforce, and it burned beautifully with the lives he took.

Of course, such a magic needed to be sustained; it was merely by luck that Artemi could get the spell to work in the first place due to his low magic potential, so he needed to obtain the necessary energy to do so elsewhere. And so Artemi took to his current work of lichcraft, and was found and brought into the spire by the Duskguard, arrested for his crimes.
