Cheerful | Amiable | Naive
One glance at Pearl can tell you that she's a Nature dragon through and through. Caring and kind, she finds value in every life form around her, no matter how big or how small. Her life in the Shrieking Wilds was a pleasant one: her clan revered all living things as much as she did, and her days were spent wandering those lush forests, surrounding herself with all of the Gladekeeper's creatures. One day, as she was taking care of some of the land's blooming flowers, a thunderous sound shook the earth to its core. Pearl looked up, scared by the sudden noise. What could it have been? Maybe a monument collapsed somewhere in Dragonhome? Or was it perhaps one of those shadow tricksters' doing? Before she had time to stop and think, her pet dove, startled by the sound, flew off and away from her, weaving its way through the trees and plants of the forest. Pearl did not hesitate. She could not abandon her friend, and so she started running after it. Soon she found herself flying, as leafy trees gave way to strange bioluminescent plants, and then to desolate boneyards. Pearl could faintly see her dove flying ahead, and so she followed... Only when she managed to catch up with her feathery friend she realized how far she had flown. The place around her was foreign, but she was not scared. She was fascinated. All of her life had been spent inside the Viridian Labyrinth, and never had she considered how big and wonderful the rest of Sornieth really was. And so Pearl walked on, exploring the strange landscape she was in, stopping to admire every plant and every creature. Her walk lead her to where two dragons, a Tundra and an Imperial, were looking at the sky. The Tundra noticed her presence first. He put down the telescope he was using, and gave her an inquiring glance. "Oh, hello there. I don't think I've ever seen you around here", he said, and smiled. "My name's Darjeeling, and this is Cerisse". He motioned to the Imperial, but she was too concentrated with her telescope to stop and introduce herself. Darjeeling turned his attention back to the Imperial stranger, "And you, miss? Are you lost?". "My name's Pearl", she answered, her dove perched on top of her horns. She looked at it, and laughed, "And, no. I'm not lost. I'm right where I want to be". |
