Mornluin has one goal in life- To outrun lightning!

So far he hasn't had much success, but that doesn't stop him from trying.

He followed a bolt of lightning from a particularly ferocious storm down in Calemir territory. The bolt was being playful but lost control causing it and Mornluin to crash land directly into one the oldest trees in the forest, sending fiery chips of wood every where.

Mornluin was found unconscious and upside down, lodged into the hollow remains of the tree.

He was carried away and left in the care of Philenor who treated his burns with her blessed healing water.

Once revived Mornluin apologized profusely for destroying the ancient tree. Despite Tinuil and Barandir's reassurances that he was not to blame he insisted on repaying his perceived debt.

His affinity with lightning means that he can predict when and where a lightning storm will hit. This means that he can help prevent. or at least contain, any future forest fires.

Tinuil accepted his offer at the suggestion of Barandir, who had lost many young trees that he was fond of to stray bolts of lightning. Tinuil even offered him the position of representative for the Stormcatcher.
