Jakal was the first to join Tinuil.

He was found nearly drowned in the lake at the heart of Calemir territory.

His armour was as damaged as his body and it took Tinuil a long time to heal his wounds, In part thanks to Amlugior's natural restlessness and his insistence on moving about before Tinuil gave him the all clear.

It was obvious from the way he was moving that his body was no longer the same. His muscles had knit back together in a way that made his body stiff and less agile.

After a life of fighting Amlugior was now faced with a new reality. He would no longer be able to be the traveling warrior he had been all his life.
Instead he would now dedicate his life to paying back the woman that saved him and those who gathered to her.

Why else would the Gladekeeper have guided him to the shimmering lake where she had sat singing that fateful night?
