:: Sharr is a genius when it comes to runic magic. His hobby is fixating on ways to enable the seamless symbiosis of magic and technology, but when he's not busy burning the midnight oil, he frequently listens to his old radio to keep up to date with news other than the Icefield's. :: His actual job is scouting local territories. More often than not he hides himself in piles of snow and watches the world go by. Sometimes he gets to ambush dragons that way. It's fun. :: Would be terrible in a sophisticated environment as he rarely holds his opinions close to his chest, preferring to blast them loud and clear, especially if he disagrees and has evidence to prove why the other dragon is wrong. :: His pets probably eat more of Rakraet's food stores than he does. There's a rumor going around that they're actually spying for him. |

"Actually, I did attempt to take precautions! I built an early detection system, and I cast defensive barriers! I enchanted the volcano so that it wouldn't blow up without, like, fifteen warning messages, but every time—" Sharr sighed. "Every time I cast my spells, Matsu neutralizes them. At this point I don't know if he's doing it because he really does want everything to explode or if he just wants to spite me." "You are fun to watch when you get angry," Ristaya observed dryly, completely ignoring everything about the volcano maybe someday inevitably erupting. Of course only Sharr cared about that. Of course. "I'm not angry!" he wailed. "I'm exasperated. Matsu is never going to care about Rakraet beyond what it can do for him. He's so powerful he thinks our safety is a joke." A sigh. "He can be so exhausting, sometimes." "I so did miss having a brother," Kirra remarked in his mild voice, which Sharr usually read as amusement. Kirra smiled so rarely, so Sharr would usually be over the moon with having entertained him - if only it weren't at his expense. "Yes, fine, laugh at me," Sharr muttered under his nose to hide his own smile. "What do I care?" But he never stopped thinking about the security concerns - not only those related to living inside a volcano. Dozens of strangers passed through Rakraet without proper oversight, and it irked him. Something had to be done to eliminate the risk factors. And so when Matsu and Ristaya disappeared from Rakraet several seasons later, Sharr put a plan into motion. |
