Personality: Habanero is extremely fidgety and paranoid, and he can be seen spinning himself around in circles when he has nothing else to do. He emphasizes the importance of safety, yet he isn't afraid to take risks when he makes his inventions. Habanero has impossibly high expectations, both of himself and of his Clan, and he constantly makes new inventions just so he can feel perfect for just a moment. Due to his impossibly high expectations, Habanero is extremely stubborn, and he refuses to change his opinion once he's settled his mind on something. He adores technology and science, and he can ramble for hours about those subjects; this can make him seem annoying, which most of his Clanmates would argue is true.

Relationship Status: Single, but has a crush on Snakeroot. Might have had a crush on Linnaeus but has said nothing about the topic.

Familiar: R3857 the Sentry Squawker. R3857 was one of the first things Habanero created when he became an inventor, and he couldn't be prouder of it. It's obnoxiously loud and loves to stir up trouble in Habanero's lair, but Habanero doesn't mind this, and he even feels empty when R3857 is quiet. R3857 was programmed to be somewhat of a prankster, and it sometimes flies over to Magpie's lair just to annoy her.

Reputation: Habanero is respected for being a scholar, but he is viewed with contempt for not believing in the spirits. Magpie can't stand his presence and refuses to talk to him, and Habanero returns the same hatred to her. He's usually seen alone or with his fellow scholar, Blink, and Habanero doesn't mind any of this. In fact, most of his inventions are created to keep his Clanmates away from his lair, as he sees them as inferior to him due to their dependence on the spirits.

Backstory: Habanero was born at the Starfall Isles to a Clan with incredibly advanced technology. The Clan was very high-ranked and occasionally associated itself with the Arcanist himself, much to Habanero's pride. The Clan commonly sent hatchlings to other Clans to teach them about their technology when they came of age, and Habanero was excited to be assigned to a Clan as a hatchling. When he came of age, he was assigned to a Clan in the Scarred Wasteland. Habanero had always thought highly of the Plaguebringer, and he hoped that the Clan he was assigned to would have a comparable level of technology. To his dismay, the Clan practiced something that he deeply disliked, dependence on the spirits. He decided to convince his assigned Clan to adopt his birth Clan's level of technology, but he never had success with it. In fact, he invoked the wrath of one dragon in particular: Magpie. He didn't really care about that, though, and he frequently ignored her or attempted to quarrel with her just to spite her. Soon after his conflict with Magpie, he met a huge Imperial named Linnaeus. While initially intimidated by Linnaeus's size, Habanero eventually became close friends with Linnaeus and crafted a familiar just for him. Their harmonious friendship came to an abrupt halt when Linnaeus started to confront Habanero about the latter's disdain towards the spirits, and the Spiral ended up arguing with his former friend and kicking him out of his lair. As of the moment, Habanero is still somewhat hurt by the loss of his former friend, but he muddles his grief through his work and his feelings for Snakeroot, a Wildclaw whom he took a liking to fairly recently.
