History
Shard was one of the first fighters in the clan. She is an honorable dragon and tries to be kind as much of the time as possible, but she has a fairly short temper and is extremely awkward around hatchlings. She tried training new fighters, but quickly discovered it was not the life for her at all. Instead she prefers lone patrols, spending quiet time with her familiar, or cuddling up with her mate Athame.
This is not to say she does not have friends in the clan, though. She gets on with Alice very well and is on good terms with the rest of the resident fighters and mages. She is closest to Valmai and Seafoam apart from Athame since it was those two she fought alongside with, and the three make a formidable team to go up against.
Serakem later placed her in charge of the clan's armory. The job is for one dragon only so Shard doesn't have to worry about working with anyone and her natural desire for order ensures that all of the weapons and battle stones are filed away neatly. The armory itself is right next to her and Athame's chamber for quick access, and Arken even designed a secret passage directly through the wall so Shard can be there to prevent anyone from sealing a weapon within seconds should there be need for it.
