Marilla is the current proprietor of the Star's Hearth boardinghouse, a once-grand establishment that has since fallen into disrepair. Her connections to its storied history run deep, at it appears that this captain will be going down with her ship.

The current residents of Star's Hearth look to Marilla as the de facto matriarch of the "clan", despite the fact that her efforts never seem to pull the boardinghouse out of obscurity. Even so, she somehow manages to thriftily keep the place afloat with her cheerful, industrious personality and shrewd common sense.

Nestled in a sleepy neighborhood of the Astrolodome lies a lone boardinghouse sandwiched in the shadows. Once a popular living arrangement for young dragons hoping to chase their dreams during the booming early years of the city, it has since fallen into obscurity. Dim rooms are lit by dusty lamps, and the once-stylish décor now shows the building's age. Nonetheless, to the motley group of dragons that live there, it is home.
