______ Coinneach chooses to live as far from other dragons as he can. His clan began out of a desire to seek solitude and as much quiet as the Shifting Expanse offers. The dragons that he gathers around him feel the same way and the home that they make together is ramshackle and disorganized, patched together pieces of personality and necessity. From the outside there is very little to remark on, a small outpost on the fringes of the “civilized” dragon world. Inside is a bustle of activity and industry. Only Coinneach knows precisely what they are building, or so he says.

______ The dragons that come to Underwood generally do so by accident, and sometimes they stay, becoming permanent fixtures in the clan and shaping it to suit themselves. Sometimes they are transients, resting on their travels, or using the clan as a base for their own adventures. As long as everyone pulls their own weight and don’t cause problems Coinneach is satisfied.

______ The exception to this is Ihapere. When she arrived in the clan it was entirely by design. She sought out Coinneach and placed herself beside him. The backwards and provincial ways of Clan Underwood suit her fine despite her chosen breed of Pearlcatcher. She also enjoys a good fight, a relic of her days as a Nocturne. The combination of the two parts of her nature have lead Clan Underwood into espionage and blackmail. Coinneach finds himself drawn into the excitement of discovering secrets, and occasionally the discovery of more physical treasures.
