________Tyrith _____Princess of The Sunbeams  Ex-Pupil of Circinus Much like her brother, Tyrith was simply deposited at Circinus' feet shortly after hatching. She was in no better shape than her brother, constantly making pearls until the only thing that came up with them was blood. Due to this, she was frighteningly skinny and weak, often choking on her own bile and blood. Later, this was explained to her being her body's response to holding so much magic, it saw every single moment as a time for a memory to be made, every second was an event, an evolution, a new chapter in her life. When, in reality, she hadn't even learned to walk yet. On top of this, whenever her body was in direct sunlight, even reflections effected her, her scales would solidify into something much harder than bone and rock. Despite seeming like a horrific experience, Tyrith never expressed displeasure with it and often claiming that it made her body cooler, protecting it from the harsh rays. It also in no way impaired her movement though it was very difficult for her to fly. Knowing she would never have a need for her wings, she asked Circinus if a small modification to them would be allowed. He granted her permission and within the day, her wings had been carved away and sculpted by a stone mason and she was left with ornate, statuesque sculptures on her back opposed to funtionless wings. It is joked that if she never moved, the world would pay tribute to her as an idol. Under Circinus, Tyrith learned to control the immense swells of magic within her to not force her to project pearls, but light. Much more powerful than any naturally-occurring bioluminescence, through the cracks of her hardened scales, fierce streams of light shine through. At first, this caused alarm for both Circinus and Tryrith but after time had passed, there were no negative reciprocations, only, like her brother learning to ease the restless shedding of his wings, Tyrith felt relief warmth and serenity. Now under Vela, Tyrith acts as a literal beacon for wayward dragons that, even if they do not see an apprenticeship, they know there will always be a welcoming place to stay for the night. In addition, Tyrith helps with healing the warriors guarding Starpass' borders. The light she emits can be focused and modified within her to cauterize wounds and increase the rate of cell regeneration to quicken healing. Also, her light can be used as a defense mechanism, she can shed her stone-like skin in an instant, however uncomfortable, in an explosion of blinding light, causing any attackers to become disoriented, lose their sight or, in more dire cases, kill them. Knowing she and her growing clan family are well-protected, keeps the young Pearlcatcher at ease and allows her peace of mind to study diligently under Vela.
