Perhaps her name says it all. Wail looks every bit the part of a mysterious magician. You never know where she is and sometimes... you don't want to know. She is quite clever but is quiet, and rarely talks (but when she does, it's not a good sign.) Though many dragons find Wail as antisocial and crooked, there are times when she is doing something other than planning revenges based on old grudges or working with mixtures of strange potions in bubbling cauldrons...

Though Wail is silent she can have a lot to say. Outside of the clan she will talk more frequently to Shiningbreeze and Arcticknight, the other two dragons in her coliseum team, who have become the closest dragons she has to friends.

There are rumors that Wail dabbles in the depths of ominous curses, dark magic of some sort and spellwork. The cards which she treasures dearly are supposedly more dangerous than they look, and her easily flaring temper makes Wail a deadly opponent; she is easily inclined to leave you to the dogs.

Now let's make Wail look like an idiot haha Now for the story of this Guardian's charge!

You can only imagine the shock it caused her when Wail found herself pulled toward the strict, noble, elegant Theresa. They were black and white; and did not particularly get along well either. They had barely even spoken if at all! Wail dismissed the feeling at first. She decided that she was imagining things. Theresa could not be her charge. In no way would she feel inclined to protect that skydancer.

The problem was that the more she was in denial, the clearer it became: whenever Theresa ventured out to gather Wail found herself (to her irritation) worried until she came back in one piece. Even though Wail much preferred hunting to insect catching; which was; to her; rather pointless and extremely boredom-provoking, she instinctively would frequently approach Cantre and ask him to put her on the same patrol as the fiery skydancer. He agreed, and though she regretted it numerous times, still dragged herself behind Theresa as they set out to find some insects.

Theresa at first hated it. HATED it. She could not believe that she had to spend time with a grumbling, irritable, snarky, and very sarcastic Guardian who vehemently complained every five seconds. It was nightmarish, for Wail was huge and scared off most of the insects with her huge size and loud exclamations, and wasn't in a particularly good mood either, both things of which got on her nerves.

Oddly enough, as days and weeks flew by and she learned to reluctantly accept the mage's company; she found herself trying to make conversation with the other. Wail never bothered to respond, afraid of herself blurting out something rude or mean and making the probably-her-charge skydancer despise her even more than she already did. Frustrated, Theresa gave up and threatened Cantre that if he did not put her from now on with someone else, ANYONE else besides the guardian, for insect catching, she would rip him from limb to limb. (Hey, she seriously meant it.)

Shocked by being put with Flopsy, another irritable guardian, on a fishing patrol the next day, Wail refused to do anything but sit down and be furious with herself. What was Theresa thinking, going off like that? Seriously? When she found her she'd have it, alright. Wail silently stewed around in her own emotions and did not realize she had spoken her thoughts aloud until Flopsy rather forcefully tapped her on the shoulder, earning him a frustrated and rather venomous "GET LOST!". After a drink and a quick break Wail found herself spilling out her thoughts, hoping that since he was a guardian as well and knew about how these things felt that he could help her. Flopsy told her that maybe she shouldn't force herself on the skydancer; to give her some distance. Wail agreed, and that was the beginning of their relation and how the guardian redeemed herself in Theresa's eyes, eventually even becoming an unlikely friend and protector to the dragon she had looked after for so long.

(Well, except when it came to Revelry, Theresa's mate. Boy, did she hate Revelry. Wail often threatened to drown him in the deepest depths of the Leviathan Trench. The deepest depths. And she did try. Even if he was Theresa's mate, Wail did try. Unfortunately for her, Shiningbreeze forced Wail to let Revelry go. Wail still hopes to find an opportunity to drown him for good. )
