Motherly, warm and patient are the main words to describe Ambrosia. She has been Aurelian's handmaid ever since he was born, but somehow the only way her age shows is through small, laughing wrinkles at her eyes. She has always been patient with the boy, even though his other staff was spoiling him far too much.

Ambrosia was always around, a strict but loving caregiver and the only constant in Aurelian's life. She would provide structure when others would not and was the only one he would take any chiding from. In a way she was Aurelian's true mother, taking up the role as if it was a complete given in the abscence of any actual parenting.

Besides taking care of the boy and following him without question when Helena had them flee, she also keeps the cats fed and the silks and bedding clean. She adores her job and every task that comes with it. Cooking is her favourite thing to do and while Helena would hunt for their meals, she would gather berries and herbs.
