 B I O G R A P H Y
Nissa learned everything from Yomen. Together with Codex, the three had spent many hours studying all the mysterious ruins around the edges of the Hewn City. Yomen became fascinated by ancient magic, and thus, so was Nissa. It was on the sundial terrace that Nissa first met Ironside and Maia. Nissa accepted the crowds and bright light in order to meet a Fire Tundra, a creature as novel as her own Light Nocturne. Yomen spoke often of her relatives to the south, so Nissa was not surprised when Yomen and Maia spoke at length about all things magical. She committed to Ironside's fire clan with her friend Yomen, who had taken quite a shine to the strange fae. The fantastic machines Ironside created were fascinating, and for a time they would amuse her. The droll little fae was much too absorbed in his work to hold Nissa's attention, though. She soon found kinship with the only other Nocturne in the lair, Kunzite. She and Kunzite adventured during their few waking hours and slept soundly around the fires for the rest. And so it went for years, as the clan grew venerable and strong. Another dragon appeared on her waking night, the Night of the Nocturne. Mordecai was shining and dark all at once, lit from within by unearthly power. He bid her join him in the Night Warriors, and who was she to refuse an invitation to such prestige? Her time was short and the nights were chill. It was time to hunt, and later, to warm a new nest. She returned only at the end of her waking time. Kunzite had gone to hunt without her, and would have to wait until his next awakening to meet Charon and Quiscalus, the clan's newest Night Warriors.
